Ivan Kane's Forty Deuce

Ivan Kane, an innovative force in nightlife, has his finger on the pulse of the entertainment industry, or so says “Rolling Stone Magazine,” who dubbed him “The Trendsetter.”

An accomplished actor, Kane started on stage before segueing into film when he was “introduced” in the Best Picture Oscar-winning “Platoon.”

As a writer, one of Kane’s screenplays was produced and aired as the HBO Original “Guilty Pleasure” movie “No Alibi,” starring Eric Roberts. Kane also has an original Musical Comedy he wrote heading to Broadway called “What … And Give Up Show Business?”

Having opened a dozen nightclubs, cabarets, bars, cafes and restaurants across the country, Kane is perhaps best known for having put burlesque back on the map with his now legendary “Ivan Kane’s Forty Deuce” clubs.

Celebrities have flocked to the now legendary “Forty Deuce” since it launched in Hollywood in 2002, with Elon Musk, Sting, David Bowie and Steven Soderbergh partnering with Kane. “Forty Deuce” created a cultural zeitgeist phenomenon and redefined what nightlife could be. Kane’s head turning burlesque headliners and swingin’ live trio (sax, drums and stand-up bass) set the bar for the burlesque movement that followed, and is considered “the gold standard, often imitated but never equaled,” according to The New York Times.

With the success of the Hollywood venue, Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino came knocking, so Kane opened a branch of “Ivan Kane's Forty Deuce” in Las Vegas, followed by Revel Casino in Atlantic City and a mid-west flagship in Columbus, Ohio.

The opening in Vegas was documented in the hit Bravo reality show “Forty Deuce” and was featured on “The Today Show” in a live remote from the Sin City venue as “the must-see club in Vegas.”

Vegas Magazine summed up Kane’s career simply … "Ivan Kane has almost single-handedly made nightlife sexy."
